Module 9 of 12
Holistic Agent Application
How do these principles work inside HolisticAgent.ai today?
Learning objectives. Apply everything from Modules 1–8 directly inside HolisticAgent.ai; understand exactly what the platform can do today, without invented features; build and evaluate a first working agent using HPC-10; and know precisely where the free-standing Holistic Agent course picks up from here.
Why this matters
Principles are only as good as your ability to apply them. This module exists so that everything you've learned so far isn't abstract — it's the exact set of decisions you make the next time you configure an agent on this platform.
A note on accuracy: HolisticAgent.ai is an actively developing product. Everything described below reflects the platform as verified directly on 31 August 2026. Features change — always check the live platform for current specifics, particularly pricing, which had an unresolved display inconsistency between pages at time of writing (noted below rather than glossed over).
Plain-English explanation
Every agent you build on Holistic Agent — a Customer Support agent, a Lead Qualifier, a Proposal Generation agent, or any of the other live agent types — is, underneath the product's interface, exactly the kind of system this course has been teaching you to specify well: it has a purpose, it needs context, it should be grounded in your actual knowledge, it has constraints, and it produces output that should be checked. The platform handles the underlying mechanics; you supply the judgement this course has been building.
Core lesson
PLAIN ENGLISH — what's actually live today
As of this writing, HolisticAgent.ai offers 16 live, working agents across three categories, each following a create → train-on-your-content → embed workflow:
- Attract & Convert: Lead Qualifier, Booking Assistant, Quote & Estimate Builder, Live Chat Concierge
- Deliver & Retain: Customer Support, Email Triage, Review Response, Onboarding Assistant, Renewal & Retention Agent
- Run the Business: Client Onboarding, Proposal Generation, Audit & Assessment Prep, Technical Reporting, Listing & Directory Management, Monthly Reporting, Invoicing
A further 22 agents, spanning Finance, HR, Legal, IT, Operations, Data/Strategy, Customer Success, and an orchestrating "Chief of Staff" agent, are listed as early-access / waitlist — genuinely not live yet. This module builds tutorials only around the 16 that are actually working today; treat the other 22 as a preview of where the platform is heading, not as something to configure now.
The platform's own free course — the Holistic Agent course referenced throughout this course — is published in full and worth bookmarking now if you haven't already; Module 12 shows you exactly how it continues from here.
PRACTITIONER — applying HPC-10 to a live agent, step by step
Take the Customer Support agent as a worked example. Every configuration decision maps directly onto a Layer of the canvas you learned in the introduction:
Layer 1 — Intent. Purpose: not "answer questions" — something more specific, like "resolve common customer questions without a human, and hand off cleanly when it can't." Instructions: the tone, the scope of what it should attempt, and what it should explicitly not attempt (pricing negotiation, complaints requiring judgement). Constraints: brand voice, response length, anything it must never say or promise.
Layer 2 — Information. Context: who's likely asking, and in what situation (existing customer vs. prospect). Knowledge: this is your uploaded document set — and Module 5 and Module 6's lessons apply directly here. Upload your actual current FAQ, policies, and product information — not an entire archive of superseded material. A lean, current knowledge base outperforms an exhaustive one, for the exact reason Module 5's research establishes. Resources: what the agent can actually do — answer from its knowledge base, or hand off to a human — should be explicit, not assumed.
Layer 3 — Assurance. Output: the tone and format of its responses, set once at configuration and applied consistently. Evaluation: before treating a new agent as "done," run it against ten to twenty realistic questions — including two or three it genuinely shouldn't be able to answer — and check the results, exactly as Module 11 will formalise. Verification: spot-check a sample of real conversations periodically rather than assuming initial testing holds forever, especially after you update the knowledge base. Iteration: when a conversation goes wrong, that's information — update the knowledge base or the instructions, don't just note it and move on.
This is the entire discipline of this course, applied to one concrete configuration screen. Nothing about it requires code.
ADVANCED — the multi-agent handoff, and what it previews
The platform's live Lead Qualifier → Booking Assistant handoff demo is a small, concrete preview of what Module 10 develops fully: one agent completing its part of a task and passing context to another, rather than a single agent trying to do everything. Notice, if you watch it run, exactly what gets passed at the handoff — that's context engineering (Module 5) happening between two agents instead of between you and one.
Business example
Following the "Uncover SEO" toggle available on Holistic Agent's homepage — which relabels the internal-ops agent lane with a real, documented agency workflow (Client Onboarding → Proposal Generation → Audit Prep → Technical Reporting → Monthly Reporting → Invoicing) — is a genuinely useful worked example: it's first-party, not a fabricated case study, and it demonstrates the "Run the Business" lane end to end using Uncover SEO's actual process.
Practical exercise — build and evaluate your first agent
Using a live agent type relevant to your own work (Customer Support or Lead Qualifier are the most broadly applicable starting points), work through the full HPC-10 layer-by-layer configuration above. Upload a small, genuinely current knowledge set — not everything you have. Write ten test questions, including two your agent should correctly decline or hand off rather than guess at. Run them, score the results, and fix exactly one thing based on what you find — per the Prompt–Context Cycle from the introduction, don't try to fix everything at once.
Common mistakes
- Uploading an entire document archive to a new agent's knowledge base "to be thorough," diluting its accuracy on the documents that matter (Module 5).
- Treating initial testing as permanent — a knowledge base update or a changed policy needs a re-check, not an assumption that yesterday's evaluation still holds.
- Configuring an agent's purpose vaguely ("help customers") instead of specifically (Module 2's lesson, applied here directly).
- Assuming a listed early-access agent is available to configure today — check the live platform before promising a client or colleague a capability that isn't shipped yet.
Expert insight
The platform doesn't remove the need for the judgement this course teaches — it gives that judgement somewhere concrete and immediate to land. The gap between a mediocre agent and a genuinely useful one on this platform is very rarely a missing feature. It's almost always one of the ten HPC-10 elements, under-specified.
Knowledge check
- Name the three live agent categories and one agent from each.
- Walk through how HPC-10's three layers map onto configuring a Customer Support agent.
- Why should you upload a curated knowledge base rather than an exhaustive one?
- What does the Lead Qualifier → Booking Assistant handoff demonstrate about context, concretely?
- Why does this module explicitly flag the live pricing-page discrepancy rather than just quoting a number?
Module summary
Every principle from Modules 1–8 has a direct, concrete home in configuring a live HolisticAgent.ai agent — purpose, context, knowledge, constraints, output, and evaluation are not abstract ideas here, they're specific configuration decisions. The platform currently offers 16 live agents across three categories, with 22 more in early access; this module builds only on what's actually shipped.
